The workshop reached capacity within weeks of opening registration, reflecting the growing demand for FAA-certified drone operators across multiple industries. A total of 12 professionals participated in this flagship training program, representing a diverse cross-section of Guam’s workforce.

The 2cofly Drone Masterclass is designed to provide comprehensive preparation for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification, the federal requirement for commercial drone operations in the United States and its territories. The program goes beyond exam preparation, combining regulatory knowledge with real-world operational training.

Participants began with structured classroom instruction covering airspace regulations, operational compliance, risk management, and mission planning. Students were then introduced to professional flight simulators to build confidence and procedural discipline before transitioning outdoors.

Going into the course, aviation charts felt overwhelming and were one of the most difficult concepts to understand. After completing the airspace section of the workshop, I was able to read sectional charts with confidence. - Sid Nama, Engineer

The workshop culminated in live flight exercises where students practiced launch and landing procedures, standardized communication protocols, flight drills, and aerial photography techniques under instructor supervision. The hands-on component ensures that graduates are not only prepared to pass the FAA exam, but also ready to operate safely and professionally in real environments.

Drone technology continues to expand its role in telecommunications infrastructure, construction, asset inspection, media production, mapping, and facilities management. As industries adopt aerial systems to improve efficiency, safety, and data collection, workforce readiness has become increasingly important.

2cofly’s training programs are designed to meet that need. As Guam’s largest drone training provider and a leader in remote sensing operations throughout Micronesia, the company remains committed to elevating professional standards and building regional capacity in unmanned aviation.

2cofly hosts only four flagship Drone Masterclass workshops each year, maintaining small class sizes to ensure focused instruction and hands-on mentorship. The February 20 session reached full capacity within weeks of opening registration. The upcoming May 29 workshop is already half booked, reflecting continued demand across industries.

With additional sessions scheduled for August 14 and November 13, interested professionals are encouraged to plan ahead. Limited seats and a structured training format allow 2cofly to maintain a high standard of instruction while providing each participant with meaningful flight time and direct engagement with instructors.
